Free Educational Handouts from the NIDCD!

The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) which is a division of the National Institutes of Health, provides handouts covering a variety of disorders which can be downloaded online for FREE! Some handout topics are also available in print form (via snail mail). These can be ordered online and are available in the USA only.  The NIDCD has also provided permission to duplicate or distribute all of their publications.

Various topics include: age-related hearing loss, aphasia, apraxia of speech, assistive devices for people with hearing, voice, speech, or language disorders, dysphagia, spasmodic dysphonia, and other voice topics. Many of the handouts are also available in Spanish! These would serve as an excellent resource to provide to patients and their families. Go take a look!
